The Orchardcroft hotel & restaurant is situated in its own pleasant grounds and is just a short walk from the old village and all the pleasures of the popular holiday resort of Shanklin. Family owned and run, we are open all year round. Many of our guests return year after year, because they can be assured of the best quality hospitality and service.

The Orchardcroft hotel offers some of the best facilities available in a two star hotel on the entire island! That makers us well worth a visit alone!

Situated in picturesque Shanklin, with it Old Town and Chine, the hotel offers ideal position to explore and savour the delights of an Island that has been hosting visitors since the golden age of Queen Victoria.

Positioned at the end of Sandown Bay its beach offers miles of sheltered sandy expanse that provides numerous forms of traditional entertainment as well as catering for the more adventurous. The general pace is slow, but with the opportunity to ‘let your hair down’ in a number of varied resteraunts and bars.

Shanklin Old Town is probably the most photographed village on the Island, with its iconic thatched pub (there are 7 within 200 yards of each other) offering superb food, nightly entertainment, great views and local ales. Fantastic resteraunts offering varied cuisines (and varied prices!).

Beautiful in Summer, Shanklin also offers variety the whole year round, with its traditional theatre, carnivals, Christmas fayres and numerous ‘club’ weekends (the Island hosts many events every weekend of the year, from vintage cars of every make, to buses, to motorbikes and scooters).

With excellent links by rail and bus to the ferry ports and about a 20 minute drive from Fishbourne and Cowes, Shanklin forms an ideal point to explore the Island. Our buses go just about everywhere and continue well into the night (and early morning).
